It is very important to have census of stray dogs.  However, there is no systematic way of recording. Currently, it is done on extrapolation of information.  As per BBC’s report of May 2016, India has about 30 million stray dogs.

Through our process to link an Indie with a volunteer and with the help of NFC chip we hope to get exact data of stray dogs in India.   We can obtain information for a locality, area, city and state. This process will also give us information about the number of volunteers taking care of stray dogs in India
